The View from Middle Spunk Creek

More Than You Could Hope to Ask For

“Do you want to run a campaign to try and become an Amazon best seller?” she asked.

“Sure. Why not?” I replied.

I had no idea what I was getting into.

Guided by my publicist, Tiffany Harelik, and with Alexcis Lopez working behind the scenes,  the “campaign” was set for May 7. They would orchestrate a ninety-nine cent ebook sale of The Reaper on Amazon that day to see if we could sell enough books to achieve best seller status.

Here’s the result:

The Reaper Best Seller Post Card

I’m still having a hard time believing it.  To my wife, Kathy, my daughter, Ashley, and son-in-law Wes who worked diligently to promote the sale; to Barb Zielinski and Scott Schwantes for spreading the word to their groups on Facebook; to the two ladies previously mentioned who made it happen, and to the hundreds of people who bought a book on Tuesday and sent well-wishes: THANK YOU.

So what’s next?

The Reaper No 1 on NYT

We can always dream!

The Old Punster is back. In keeping with the theme from last week:

The past, the present and the future walk into a bar. It was tense.
