Book Club Questions for Cloud Warriors
“The Hook,” “The Book,” and “The Cook,” are terms frequently used in the book publishing industry. In this case, “The Hook” relates to a character that drew you into the story. “The Book” poses questions about specific scenes or characters. “The Cook” refers to questions you would ask the author about the story. THE HOOK
- Which of the characters would you like to have lunch with?
- What’s the first question you would want to ask her/him?
- If you were a casting director for a movie, whom would you cast as your lunch partner?
- In your own words, describe your lunch partner, both in physical appearance and psychological makeup.
THE BOOK
- The story is told through the voice of someone who claims to be able to communicate with people “on the other side”. Do you believe that, in real life, there are people who have that kind of gift, power, or as Carrie Waters called it, “an ability bestowed by the divine”?
- Cloud Warriors addresses the conflict between science and spirituality. Did that aspect of the story affect your attitude toward that ever-present conundrum?
- While the characters and the story of Cloud Warriors are fictional, the historical and scientific parts of the book are based on fact. Which parts of the book did you find most intriguing, and do you think they were fact or fiction?
- If five stars are “great” and one star is “awful”, how many stars would you give Cloud Warriors? [Please feel free to leave a review on Amazon, Bookbub and/or Goodreads].
THE COOK
- If you could ask the author one question about the book, what would it be? [If you’d like an answer, email Rob at rob@robjungwriter.com.]
- Rob’s books always contain an underlying social issue. What do you think the issue is in Cloud Warriors?
